    6. Stickers and Sound Board

This chapter is for the server’s owner and admins. It explains how to manage this server’s sticker and sound resources. After you click the gear icon on the right side of the tab bar (tooltip: User Settings) to open the settings panel, the Server Settings group has two tabs right next to each other: Stickers and Sound Board. The owner and admins see exactly the same content on both tabs.

The two tabs have almost the same structure, and each has three sub-tabs. The interface calls a set of stickers or a set of sounds a pack, and this chapter uses that term throughout. §6.0 first covers the structure the two tabs share, and §6.1 to §6.3 then go through the sub-tabs one by one; differences between stickers and sounds are pointed out where they come up.

When you open the Stickers or Sound Board tab, the top of the content area has a row of three sub-tabs, from left to right: Server packs, Personal packs, and Settings.

The three sub-tabs have exactly the same names on both tabs. Server packs is for creating and managing packs shared by the whole server; Personal packs is for monitoring and cleaning up the personal packs that members create themselves; Settings is for adjusting the various size and count limits.

When you first open the tab, it starts on the Server packs sub-tab.

The three sections below, §6.1, §6.2, and §6.3, each cover both Stickers and Sound Board, and they point out the differences between the two where they come up.

The Server packs sub-tab has two columns: the pack list on the left, and the form for creating or editing a pack on the right.

    Pack list on the left

At the top of the list is a full-width + Create pack button. Click it to open a blank creation form on the right.

Below the button, every current pack is listed, one pack per row. Each row shows the pack name, the pack’s visibility (Public or Private), and the number of items in it. On Stickers, the count reads {count} stickers; on Sound Board, it reads {count} sounds.

When the server has no packs yet, the list area shows a message: “No sticker packs available” on Stickers, and “No sound packs available” on Sound Board. While no pack is selected yet, the same message also appears in the center of the right side.

Right side: create / edit pack form

Creating a new pack and editing an existing one use the same form. Its fields, from top to bottom, are as follows.

The first field is the pack name, labeled Pack name. It is a single-line text box that holds up to 60 characters. While the name is empty, you can’t click Save at the bottom.

The second field is the pack icon, labeled Pack icon. If an icon is already set, a small preview image appears here. Click Upload to choose an image as the icon; you can use PNG, JPEG, GIF, or WebP. When an icon is set, a Remove button also appears next to it; click it to clear the current icon. The icon’s maximum size is set by Max pack icon size (KB) on the Settings sub-tab (see §6.3).

The third section is headed Visibility, with two options below it; choose one: Public (the default) or Private. With Public, every member can see the pack.

After you choose Private, a visibility assignment area appears below, where you specify which user groups and which members can see the pack. It has two lists in which you can select more than one entry:

    • Visible to user groups — lists every user group. Check the groups you want to be able to see the pack.
    • Visible to users — lists every member (each entry shows “nickname (@username)”). Check the members you want to be able to see the pack.

Each list has a search box above it, so you can type to filter when there are many members or groups.

The bottom of the form has a row of buttons. Save saves the current contents (you can’t click it while the name is empty). When you’re creating a pack, Cancel next to it lets you back out. When you edit an existing pack, Delete pack also appears on the right.

    Deleting a pack

Clicking Delete pack opens a system confirmation prompt. Its text reads exactly:

    • Stickers: “{count} stickers will be permanently deleted. Messages already sent will render a deleted-sticker placeholder.”
    • Sound Board: “{count} sounds will be permanently deleted. Users who used these sounds will have broken references.”

Once you confirm, the pack is removed together with the stickers or sounds in it.

    Pack content area

When you select an existing pack, a content area also appears on the right, below the edit form, where you manage the stickers or sounds in the pack.

The header of this area shows the current count and the space used ({size} used, with the size automatically converted to a suitable unit).

On Stickers, the top-right corner of this area has + Upload sticker. Click it to select several images at once (you can use PNG, JPEG, GIF, or WebP). Each sticker is named using the first 40 characters of its file name, without the extension.

While the pack has no stickers, this area shows “This pack is empty”. Once it has stickers, they are arranged in a grid of thumbnails. Hover over a tile: click the sticker’s name on the tile to rename it (a system input box opens with the prompt Sticker name), or click Delete to delete the sticker (you’re asked to confirm first; the confirmation reads “Messages already sent will render a deleted-sticker placeholder.”).

On Sound Board, the top-right corner of this area has two buttons. + Upload sound lets you select several audio files at once (you can use mp3, ogg, wav, or webm), and each sound is named using the first 40 characters of its file name, without the extension. ✂️ Upload & Trim opens the trim dialog instead, where you mark segments of a longer audio file and upload them (see §6.1a).

While the pack has no sounds, this area shows “This pack is empty”. Once it has sounds, they are listed one per row. At the far left of each row is a ▶ preview button (hovering over it shows Preview); click it to play the sound on your own device, at the sound board volume. Next comes the sound’s name, with a line below the name showing the sound’s duration and size. On the right are Edit (click it to open a system input box for renaming, with the prompt Sound name) and Delete (you’re asked to confirm first; the confirmation reads “This sound will be permanently deleted.”).

In the content area of a pack on Sound Board, ✂️ Upload & Trim in the top-right corner is a second way to upload sounds. The regular Upload sound turns a whole audio file into one sound; Upload & Trim lets you load a longer source audio file, mark one or more segments in it, and upload each segment as a separate sound.

Clicking it opens the Trim Sound dialog. In the Source section in the upper half of the dialog, click Choose file to load your source audio file. In the Segments section in the lower half, use + Add segment to mark segments in the source. After you’ve marked your segments, click Upload all ({count}) to upload all of them at once.

The dialog shows prompts as you work. For example, after you load a source and before you add any segment, the Segments area shows “Add at least one segment”, and the upload button can’t be clicked yet; if a segment you marked is too short, it shows “Segment too short (min 0.1s)”; during the upload, it shows the progress as Uploading {done}/{total}; and if you try to close the dialog while some segments haven’t been uploaded, it first asks “Unsaved segments will be lost — close anyway?”

The length and size of each segment are limited by Max sound duration (ms) and Max sound size (KB) on the Settings sub-tab.

The Personal packs sub-tab is for admins to monitor and clean up the personal packs that members create themselves. Each member can create a personal sticker or sound pack that only they can see; how members use their own packs is covered in the User Guide. This sub-tab gives you an overview of all members’ personal packs and lets you clean them up when needed.

At the top of the sub-tab is a summary line that shows the current number of members, the total number of stickers (or sounds), and the total size.

Below the summary are a search box and sort options. The search box filters by user or pack name. Sorting offers four options: Size, Quota, Updated, and User.

Below that is the member list, one member per row. From left to right, each row has these columns:

    • User — the member’s display name plus “@username”.
    • Count — Stickers on Stickers, Sounds on Sound Board.
    • Size — the space the member’s personal pack currently uses.
    • Quota — the percentage of the member’s personal quota already used. If the member is over quota, it is shown in red, followed by the words over quota.
    • Updated — when the member’s personal pack last changed.
    • On the right is the delete action.

Delete on the right of each row deletes the member’s entire personal pack. Clicking it first opens a system confirmation prompt whose text reads exactly:

    • Stickers: “{username}’s {count} personal stickers will be permanently deleted; their sent messages will render a deleted-sticker placeholder.”
    • Sound Board: “{username}’s {count} personal sounds will be permanently deleted.”

Click a member’s row to expand their personal pack and see the individual items in it, which you can delete one by one.

If the member’s personal pack is empty, the expanded row shows a message: “This pack is empty” on both Stickers and Sound Board.

On Stickers, the expanded row is a thumbnail grid of stickers; hover over a tile to reveal Delete (the confirmation reads “Messages already sent will render a deleted-sticker placeholder for this sticker.”). On Sound Board, the expanded row lists the sounds one per row (▶ preview, name, duration and size, Delete), and the delete confirmation reads “This personal sound will be permanently deleted.”

When there are many members, the list is split into pages of 50 members each. At the bottom of the list, you can switch to the previous or next page and see the range currently shown and the total.

The Settings sub-tab is where you manage all the size and count limits for Stickers or Sound Board.

Each setting takes one row: the setting’s name on the left (with the unit in parentheses in the name), a number box in the middle, and a Save button on the right. Each field is saved independently: whichever field you change, click the Save to its right, and only that field is saved; the other fields are unaffected. Each field starts with the value loaded from the server’s current settings.

Settings on Stickers has five fields, listed from top to bottom with their exact names:

    • Max sticker size (KB) — the maximum file size of each sticker.
    • Max pack icon size (KB) — the maximum size of each pack icon image.
    • Personal quota (MB) — the maximum total size of each member’s personal sticker pack.
    • Max stickers per message — the maximum number of stickers in one message.
    • Max stickers per pack — the maximum number of stickers in one pack.

Settings on Sound Board has nine fields, listed from top to bottom with their exact names:

    • Max sound size (KB) — the maximum file size of each sound.
    • Max sound duration (ms) — the maximum length of each sound.
    • Max pack icon size (KB) — the maximum size of each pack icon image.
    • Personal quota (MB) — the maximum total size of each member’s personal sound pack.
    • Max sounds per pack — the maximum number of sounds in one pack.
    • Max overlap (token bucket size) — sets the maximum number of sounds that can play at the same time.
    • Cooldown refill (ms) — throttles how often sounds can be triggered.
    • Min interval between plays (ms) — throttles how often sounds can be triggered.
    • Rate limit (plays per minute) — throttles how often sounds can be triggered.

After you set the number in a field, click the Save to its right to save it to this server.
